‘Zines played a big part in Ranting culture: before the internet they were how the young people shared information and found out about bands, music, poetry. Their DIY nature is synonamous with the Ranting culture.

As Tim Wells writes on his Stand Up and Spit blog, “The ‘zines are testament to how handmade much of this was, and while much of it is amateur it also shows that people were passionate about what they were saying and wanted to say it right that moment.”

Join artists and writers Miki Berenyi and Joe England who will introduce you to the idea and guide you through the process. Workshops allowing you to create your own ‘zine will be running throughout the day, with all of the materials that you will need provided.

Tickets £5 | Saturday 13 June | Guardian House, 119 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3DA
