Stand Up and Spit at Bang Said the Gun – Thursday 26 March 2015

We are very happy that the first Stand Up and Spit event of our 2015 London Ranting bang_flyerseries is at Bang Said the Gun on Thursday 26 March.

Like mud wrestling, with words … Bang prides itself on being a poetry night for people who hate poetry, making it the perfect place for some Ranters. Ginger John, Emily Harrison and Tim Wells will be at The Roebuck pub for your sweary, shouty, boozy poetry delight.

Tim Wells is the founding editor of poetry magazine Rising, whilst Ginger John describes himself as ‘the doomsday commando ranting poet’. Both of them are original Ranting poets who performed in the 1980s. Emily Harrison follows in the footsteps of these poets with work which is “gutsy and honest and funny, rooted in the angst and energy of adolescence but without the whining”.

Tickets £8 / £6 on the door | 8pm Thursday 26 March | The Roebuck, 50 Great Dover Street, London SE1 4YG
